Dan Crook is a young Producer/Mixer/Writer and musician based in the South East of the UK.

Dan trained first as assistant and then as engineer under the eye of the legendary Ben Hillier (DEPECHE MODE, BLUR, VILLAGERS, ELBOW ) at his studio based in working farm land in East Sussex, nr Brighton working on three NADINE SHAH records, PETER PERRETT, MELT YOURSELF DOWN, GANG OF FOUR, RUBY NUHA, ANNABEL ALLUM and JUANITA STEIN amongst many others.

The collaborative approach encouraged by Ben meant that Dan was able to hone his skills - he’s not just incredibly tech savvy but a multi - instrumentalist as well as an accomplished song writer ( he has writing credits on and also mixed the current NADINE SHAH record ‘ FILTHY UNDERNEATH’ ).

Recently having also worked with the imitable YOUTH in Spain on records with BLACK GRAPE and KILLING JOKE,  Dan has recently been touring with NADINE SHAH as leader of her live band.

About to resume his studio work (having got back from a few amazing dates with NADINE and DEPECHE MODE), Dan is excited to be able to offer a really cost effective and flexible space for up and coming artists at the creative Agricultural Audio which is packed with vintage synths, desks, instruments and microphones.
